Limited Edition of 20

Girl Chasing Butterflies is feminine and determined. The net and flowing dress, along with the blowing bow and hair, create a lovely, ephemeral image. This piece enjoys a rich history and was originally commissioned by the former VP of Colonial Williamsburg as the artist’s first commissioned work. The second casting was installed at the Merrill Lynch Corporate headquarters in Plainsboro, NJ in celebration of Women’s History Month in 1998 and the piece was later exhibited at Dover, Delaware’s Woodburn Governor’s Mansion Victorian Exhibit in October 1999. After revisions, which included the net being cast versus fabricated, Girl Chasing Butterflies was installed at Hershey Gardens in Hershey, PA in October 2005.
