THE PROWLER     2006

Bronze     19"H x 43"W x 16"D

Limited Edition Of 25

The Prowler depicts a 1/4 life size male bengal tiger crouched on a rock with his head lifted. The male bengal often grows to 9 or 10’ in length and has a pug (paw spread) of five inches or more. Indigenous to India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar, the bengal hunts medium-sized and large animals, such as rabbits, water buffalo, deer, goat, and wild boar. They are also known to climb trees to hunt primates. Bengal tigers are now protected, and are the national animal of both Bangladesh and India. After the resounding success of the tiger conservation program in India known as Project Tiger, the population of wild tigers has increased dramatically.

The Prowler won the Gold Medal in the October 2006 Annual Exhibition of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Arts Club traditionally held at the National Arts Club in New York City.
